Bacopa Monnieri (also known as Brahmi, Water Hyssop, or Herb of Grace) is a flowering perennial native to the wetlands of Southern India. It is named after the Hindu God Brahman, the supreme God, pure consciousness, responsible for all creative forces in the World.
