Bentonite is a naturally-occuring hydrated aluminium silicate formed by volcanic ash. It is harvested in the USA, France and Italy. The largest source in the World is at Fort Benton, Wyoming from where it gets its name. Bentonite is healing clay. It contains more than 50 natural trace minerals and is known for its absorbent properties.
How it works Bentonite is highly absorbent. When mixed with water, the clay is stretches open like a super-porous sponge. It has a strong electromagnetic charge and acts like a magnet to draw out toxins and impurities.
How to use – Add water to bentonite clay to create a natural face mask to draw out excess oils, bacteria, toxins and impurities. – Add a quarter of a cup to your bath to detox and soften skin. – Add 3-4 tablespoons to a tub of hot water for a foot bath. – Cover skin with a thick layer of clay and put a wet gauze on top to make a poultice for minor skin irritations. – Make home-made soaps, toothpaste and even deodorant. – Do not use metal containers or equipment with bentonite, it may decrease effectiveness.
