Kale is a member of the cabbage family and has been widely cultivated in Europe since Roman times. The vegetable is often referred to as ‘the queen of greens’ because of its health-promoting properties. Kales rosette-like leaves have a stronger, spicier flavour than your average leafy green…they also pack more of a nutritional punch, with far more vitamins and minerals than other super-greens like spinach.
